The Navy Ten Commandments

FLAGBAR 501x15

1. Thou shalt not gripe about getting up at reveille - The enemy never sleeps.
2. Thou shalt not squawk about getting liberty. Lose a little now and get a permanent one later.
3. Thou shalt not make an enemy of soap and water. A clean body controls a clean mind.
4. Thou shalt not waste good food at chow time. Feel elated to have it while the rest of the world is starving.
5. Thou shalt not laugh or make a heel out of a new sailor. Remember that you were a boot once.
6. Thou shalt not bear malice towards your officers. They take aspirins for headaches too.
7. Thou shalt not neglect or shirk your duty. A shirker is an ally to the enemy.
8. Thou shalt not fail to pull together. A good strong pull will choke Tojo to death.
9. Don't get panicky because payday is a little late. You don't load guns with currency.
10. Thou shalt not waste bath or drinking water. That same wasted water may sooth parched lips in an emergency.

NOTE: Breaking these commandments may mean the breaking up of your country.
